Is this hole for a bolt or a bleeder?
« on: September 19, 2017, 01:16:55 PM »
Is the hole in the top of the front brakes manifold (shown) for a bleed screw or a bolt?

Just now there is a bolt in mine.  I am attempting to bleed the brakes and I have good pressure at the lever but nothing is coming from the calipers.  I suspect this should not be a bolt and that the bolt is blocking the flow of fluid???

The hole(s) on either side of your thumb are for bolts. They attach the splitter to the the lower triple tree. The other threaded hole, across from your thumb nail,  is for the brake light pressure switch. The banjo bolts go in the top and bottom.

Thanks Scott, I forgot all about the pressure switch as mine is one the MC.  Turned out the splitter was crudded up and blocked.  The bolt was correct as a delete for the switch.  I replaced the cruddy splitter with a good one and managed to bleed both brakes in about 20 minutes - all good now!

Thanks for the advice as always!
