CB750F 1977 Peg Mounts
« on: October 10, 2017, 01:04:59 AM »
Hey all,

I’m the new owner of a CB750F 1977 that I purchased on a pallet full of boxes for the right price. On inspection most parts seem reason able and appropriate for the Street Scrambler / Brat Project I have planned.

However, I’m missing the two brackets that the Foot pegs mount too and the brake pedal pivots off, so my questions are:

Does anybody have a pair they would be willing to part with

Does anybody know where some after market parts could be sourced, I’ve looked at all the usual suspects for these, Dimecity And Carpys with no luck.

Is there a better way to go about these missing parts, I want to retain the option of carrying a passenger so need the rear pegs to remain.

Any advice/comment/ abuse is welcome.

Send a private message to Bill Benton Racing here on the board.

I know he had a parts bike. I'm sure he'd have those parts.

Hey all,

I had trouble making contact with Bill Benton Racing but have found a set of 79 peg mount brackets, does anyone know if a set of 79 brackets will fit a 77. Looks like the gear lever runs a linkage on the 79 so unsure if I can get these brackets to work.

No idea if the 79stuff will fit.
I may have the ones you need,  take a few days to check. Do you have the brake pedal and master cylinder?
Not sure that you would like the peg position anyway, you may find the bolt to the motormount K type more to your liking. Then fabricate your brake pivot mount.

Hey 754,

It would be great if you have a set, I need them to get the bike registered. Thanks for your help. I have the pedal and master cylinder, I just need these brackets to finish the puzzle .

There are some left ones on EBay for a 77-78 F model. Under $20, no right ones that I can see.

Thanks David, yep the LHS is the hard one to find. Worst case I’ll try to find one and fab it out of Ali plate.
