I noticed in this photo that the shock and spring are not concentric. In another photo, not here, you can see that the keepers are disengaged at the top shock mount. I don't know what to make of it but it looks like a mismatch between the shock and spring length. I can't imagine any good thing happening if the keepers fall out when you're going down the road.

Maybe, just maybe, these guys with their bikes being hand built in Southern California, are trying to tap into the movie props supply chain ala Lisbeth Salander. We all liked seeing her badass Honda 350 with a combination of knobbies and street tires

I didn't notice the tires.
I did notice her 350 though.
Refreshing for the reason that when HWood requires a motorcycle it's most usually a Ducati.
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.

Not being a Walking Dead fan, I missed this converted '92 Nighthawk, Darryl Dixons ride. Built by Classified Moto, Richmond, VA. Pictured in the WSJournal today.

They are just trolling for those sweet sweet Silicon Valley dollars. No one who knows anything about CB750s would pay those prices for those bikes, but there's guys making those sweet Google bux with cash burning a hole in their pocket who might think one of these looks like a cool way to spend it.

SF Craigslist is full of flippers who will take whatever hipster trend is handy, and cash in on it. They probably buy these bikes off craigslist in another less hipster area of CA throw on a low effort "cafe" build, and they're flipping them for at least 5x what they have in them.
