Going to rebuild this guy in couple days. Thinking 750f? Rebuild kits seem to be year specific.

  • So, what do ya wanna talk about today?
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Unless it's a 100 point restoration, I would highly recommend end a new, smaller bore master, it's cheaper than rebuilding that. One ,and WAY better Brakes!

Front master,upgrade, 14mm or 15mm?

Thanks for the replies guys. There seem to be two kits for the GL as well. One is for the earlier models and there is one for 1979. Would like to know without opening her up.

The dual discs are on my 550 with stock calipers. Reading online this is a popular conversion, not sure of the bore though.

They were popular back in the day, because there was nothing better available. If you aren't worried about keeping it looking period correct, any modern MC will work better. ;D
