 I remember an interview with a well-known rocker. He had the chance to pick up Eddie VanHalen's rig and play it. He was shocked when it didn't sound like Eddie, he said, it just sounded like me. That's when he knew it wasn't the equipment, later Eddie played his guitar and it sounded just like Eddie.

well, yeah...it's just like the 80/20 rule of motorcycle racing, going fast is 80 percent rider 20 percent bike.  You race Valentino Rossi except you ride his Yamaha and he rides your cb750.  He is still gonna win.
