Need some help with carb rebuild
« on: November 23, 2017, 02:53:18 PM »
Hello everyone. I am restoring a cb 750 four F0. Right now I am in other country so I could not check with kind of carburatos do i have.
I was wondering if this set will be the proper one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/CB750-Four-Carburetor-Kits-Honda-1971-1972-1973-1974-1975-1976-Carb-SOHC-750/362156528819?hash=item54523614b3:g:HcYAAOSwGvhUI1K9&vxp=mtr

I dissasambled that carburators and they have the same gaskets but i dont know if the jets will be the same size.

Do you know if this set is the same that back in the days came with the cb 750 four F0?

Thank you for your help

Those are the right parts...but the thing is, unless your carbs have somehow survived the holocost, all you are gonna need is the o-rings for the float bowl drains and the fuel tee o-rings.  So better to just buy those from Honda or a generic o-ring supplier.  Of the dozens of roundtop cb750 carb racks I have rebuilt, I have never found a bad float bowl gasket or screw top gasket, and aftermarket jets are known to be garbage.  The one time I replaced a float needle, it leaked wayyy worse than the original, so I put the original back and it was as good as it ever was (which to be honest, is often not that good.  You really HAVE to learn to turn off the petcock with these bikes) for the another 50,000 miles.

Just get them clean inside.
If it works good, it looks good...
