First real Ride New to me 1973 CB350f
« on: December 21, 2017, 10:41:49 PM »
Well with the server crash, I lost me membership, new member post and a couple other posts. But anyway, I bought home the new to me bike yesterday, was 67 and sunny in Denver and had a very nice ride bringing the bike home adjusting some of the controls and taking another short spin. Today 20 and snowing, so yesterday I put treatment in the gas befor the second ride and covered the bike hopefully to soon ride again. And yes I would like some cheese with that whine  :'(

Nice bike!  Mine sits in the garage mocking me.  Riding weather is only 4 months away.  Warmer climates are in order when I retire.   ;D

I will be leaving the bike as is except I did buy another seat to have recovered with an inch or two of additional foam to make the seat a little higher and more comfortable for me (I will keep the original seat and protect the original cover). I also plan to add one of Hondaman's electronic ignition boxes but that's it for mods/changes

Welcome:

Mine looks very much like that except for the paint and the  rusted out megaphones.  Would you be so kind as to check to see if there is a make/model on them somewhere and let me know?

I'd like to get a pair for mine

-cheers

Badger- the only thing I have seen on the exhausts is a made in japan sticker. Next time I get the bike out I will look harder to see if there is anymore id on them. They are very quiet.

The exhaust is vintage from MC Engineering. I used to have a picture of a NIB set from an old ebay auction but that fell victim to the photobucket debacle. I had a set on my 350f when I first got it from my dad and as you said, they are very quiet.

Well the bike is transformed. I got a set of progressive shocks and my new seat (foam about 1.5" taller and much denser than 45 year old stock). Got in a quick ride before it got too cold. Much more comfortable and you don't realize how tired the stock shocks were until you ride some new ones. I suggest anyone wanting to improve their bike get a set of shocks that use modern technology and are set up for your weight and riding style.
