FNG here with 3 SOHC-4 Honda CB's
« on: December 29, 2017, 07:37:11 AM »
Hey Y'all,

Thanks for the add, I am from Central NY State, work as a federal technician/vehicle mechanic for NYS and the National Guard. Currently I am abroad, I have 5 motorcycles which I will list below missing them like crazy, 3 out of the 5 are SOHC-4 you should recognize those easily ;). I enjoy trucks and going off road or riding my quad But wind therapy on two wheels is where I can re-center myself. I am overseas thinking of how much I miss my motorcycles I have been researching and solidifying what I want to do for my project. Looking at different ideas and wondering since I am going the "Cafe" route on my 79 how to make big power out of the 650 (636cc) mill. I am really wanting to do the Big Bore on my 79 Cafe so any knowledge I can get or information on will help immensely. I also seen an article and post that member paulages wrote what brought me to this site and I seen a few other members post come up on google.

1979 Honda CB650 Four (was my daily driver but now is my current cafe racer project)
1981 Honda CB650C Custom (rolling project, changing some minor parts and pieces to give it a different attitude )
1975 Honda CB750K super sport (my original cafe project I bought 7 yrs ago (no paperwork)
1973 Harley Sportster 1000 4 spd (patriot themed hardtail/chopper project (no paperwork)
2013 Yamaha Stryker 1300 new daily driver and 2 up cruiser
1979 Honda CB650 Four (Cafe racer project)
1981 Honda CB650C Custom (rolling project)
1975 Honda CB750K SS (my original cafe project (no paperwork)
1973 Harley Sportster 1000 4 spd (no paperwork)
2013 Yamaha Stryker 1300

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis
