Topic: Fuel gauge issues.

Hello, I realise I don't need a fuel guage, but I still want one.
I just can't seem to find the ohm specs for the sending unit. Does anyone know this off hand, I'm currently getting 11-80ohms.

I would like to add that I tried searching the forums for the answer, but the search engine isn't working.

The shop manual says: 6-10 ohms full and 75-80 empty. I gotta tell you though, my gauge works, but not real well. It tends to stay on full then drop quickly.

Well I'm moving to the 7v regulator. However, Pretty much everything on that circuit works except the horn, the turn buzzer, and the fuel gauge. The more I dig, the more it seems like I have loose wiring.

Sounds like you have corrosion in your sending unit.

THe buzzer and horn aren't associated with the 7v circuit, sounds like you have more than one problem.

My 76 a shows a 7volt regulator but don’t find it on the loom. Anyone have a picture for me please ?
