Replaced brake calipers. I guess it was time
Al the es I had my ‘03 Grand Cherokee, I had to replace one caliper, every one or two years. They never seized together, but after winter salt and sand, one usually tight end up. When it wouldn’t roll out of the garage in neutral (we have a good drainage pitch), I knew it was time!
These have 294 000 miles on them
- but there is rarely salt on roads in Virginia.
Did pretty stupid screw up, too. Before changing front calipers I look at the left rear brake and left it open. With the new caliper installed up front I decided to bleed it right away. Yes, you guessed it, I pumped the rear brake piston as far as it would go. Than, instead of opening the bleeder, I pulled the piston out and had really hard time getting it back into the boot.
Using my brain actually hurts, that's why I don't do it.
