CA95 troubleshoot
« on: March 29, 2018, 03:41:08 pm »
So have rebuilt the tranny and life is good. Kicks over great. Starter wouldnt spin so bought new battery. Battery works great.

However, starter still wouldn't spin. Tested sol and it clicks great. Tried jumping sol and still no starter.

Tested direct from positive to starter post and it sparked but voltage was only 2.5v. Obviously not enough to turn starter.

What would cause this to happen?

Disconnect the position cable from the battery and then check the resistance.  Post it here and someone can tell you if it is excessive. Also remove and clean ALL your grounds.

Sounds like you have some multimeter work in your future.

So off the bike it spins. Does that seem slow?
