VIN numbers
« on: June 03, 2018, 07:33:49 AM »
Hi all Fisrt time on a forum site. I have just got a CB750 K it is registered but no docs. Can it have a K2 frame no. and a later K5 engine no. Or does this suggest a replacement engine? This is a UK bike. Cheers all

All UK bikes were K2 models until K6/7 so the later UK k2 had higher engine numbers than the books tell you
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Same in Sweden, K2 delivered during 1975 until 1976 when K6 entered the scene.
K2 engine numbers within the 20xxxxx range on bikes I have seen around here.
