1975 CB750 Engine Rebuild

Have the engine cracked open and sitting on the garage floor. This is my first rebuild so I’m a little intimidated. Appreciate anyone following along and/or helping as I get the bike back together.

So, there is a crack inside the engine. To me it looks like a imperfection in the sand casting. Right next to the kick start gear. Is this ok?

Get Hondaman's book, it's the best to guide you.
I Can't really tell from the photo what you are concerned about.

Already followed your advice. Got plenty of grease stained pages. No longer suitable for it’s former function as a coffee table book.
Zoomed in a little. See if this makes the imperfection more visible.
