1975 Honda CB750F Carburetor Vent Hoses
« on: August 03, 2018, 11:32:22 AM »
There are 2 carburetor bowl vent connections at the rear of the 2 center carburetors.  Where do these vent hoses lead to?    Thanks

Two equal length hoses, (about 8-10 inches long) simply "arc" up and rearward, laying over the top of the airbox and connect to nothing. There is supposed to be a plastic clip towards the ends that holds them together as a pair. A parts diagram should give a pretty clear view.

They usually route under the airbox.

In his book Hondaman recommends drilling 2 holes in the bottom half of the airbox and routing them inside. Apparently the suction at full throttle raises the fuel level in the bowl and helps make some extra power.
