rear shocks cb750k 77
« on: August 10, 2018, 12:36:59 PM »
hey all, hope the week went well for everyone..

im about to order some new rear shocks for my 77 750k..... i see that the originals are eye-clevis at around ''13 1/4 inch springs more or less..

wondering if id get any issues jumping to 14.5 inch shocks. dime city has a nice all black set, i am thinking longer shocks because that would create a higher back end and im thinking itll look nice. (this is a cafe rebuild)

cheers fellas and ladies

Keep in mind that raising or lowering the back end changes the front geometry and can have an impact on overall stability.

Plenty of people do it, just be aware that is has more than just a cosmetic impact and ride carefully after the change until you understand how it affected your particular bike.

Imo, that could work out just about right...be careful if you also have a tall rear tire, such as 130/90/17, might be getting into tank slapper territory.  Really should take some measurements and do some math and research before making such a change.  I apologize for not having more solid data for ya.
