ok, i'm new to all this. I just picked up an 81 cb750c dohc. good running bike., less than 17 k original miles.
my interest is to make it "more interesting" i.e. gl front end, apes, etc. what front end gl1000 or gl1100 will bolt up to this. can someone give me a run down on the proper bearing set up (gl lower cb upper?) I've been reading up a bit, i get lots of info on earlier stuff ( earlier years) not much in this 81 time frame. any suggestions will be helpful. thanks. i get the forks on the gl will be longer, i'm good with that, I'm going for the "chop" anyway, may go 4 inches over. what i'm really hoping for is advice on what are the right year(s) front ends to look for so i don't get bogged down with stuff that won't fit, waste of $, etc. I'll be looking for a complete front end, once i know what i'm after.
