Topic: 1980 CB650a SOHC Engine Swap

I have a 1980 CB650a SOHC that may need an engine. I know Honda made CB650 several years. What year engines will fit and work in my 1980 cb650a frame

 You want the '79-82 SOHC engine. BUT.....the heads and carbs differ. The spigots for the carbs are cast into the head. The CV carbs won't fit the earlier heads and vice versa.
