ughhh well, that's kinda how it goes.  The 650 carbs can cost about $200 in just parts to rebuild.  Air cutoff valves go and they're $10-$15 each, gasket sets are $30-$40 each... accelerator pump... I think that was $15 or $20...

that price sounds reasonable considering all the parts that were replaced.

That looks #$%*ing hot.

would riding in the rain with those drilled like that add to the possibility of the drums getting wet and not doing their thang right?  just wondering because I might want to do that to my 350...

Is it possible to put a drain hole at the bottom somewhere so if water does get in it has somewhere to drain out.?

I've already modified the drain slots and drilled holes at the bottom so the wind going by the cover creates a better way out.

also I don't do alot of rain riding.

if anyone wants me to drill a cool pattern in their #$%* just pay actual shipping both ways and I'll do it for free.

a 15/16 carbide drill bit and a round sided finishing file to make them come out round.
(that big of a bit makes a wonky hole)

I would still be concerned about rain gettin' in there, even if it has a route out.  The water still reduces braking.

I'll let you know if it's an issue once I get it on the road.

I've gotten caught in the rain plenty of times with this cover and didn't have a problem,

...granted, the holes are smaller but there's a #$%*load of them.
