That would be quite awesome with cooling fins.

I'm wondering if this could be built with cooling fins.

As to Schmitty and the computer woes, have you tried booting it with the recovery discs?

No Stan, 10 years is a long time and I'm not sure I have recovery disc's. I know I still have the disc's required to reformat the drive, but that will delete everything. Right?  :-\

Judging from the picture, you are using a fuse ignition?  It would not e that difficult to make one with an electronic ignitor.  You would have to modify the mortar rounds to include an incendiary primer that you would hook to your ignitor system.  A piece of thin steel wire used like a resistor in a circuit would work.  You would just need enough juice to burn it up.  An 18 volt drill battery has lost of power to make metal hot.

Yes, I conjured this up in my brain just by looking at the picture.  I don't condone the modification of legal fireworks in any way that would make them illegal or capable of use as a weapon.  That's just bad, M'kay?  Do not hold in hand. Light fuse and get away.

Yes, reformatting would be bad..as in human sacrifices, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria, etc. ;-)

There are various ways to create start up type disks that would let you take a look at what's on the hard drive. If the hard drive is still working, you could copy all of your porn, ooops, I mean data off it onto a thumbdrive. That'd let you get your data back, but it wouldn't restore your machine.

If you mean that you have the disks to reinstall Windows (and the hard drive is still good), you could then do a fresh install of Windows. A couple of dookie logs later, and bob's your uncle.

If you want to head down that path, I'd be happy to type up some instructions and then walk you through it over the phone if you want.

Hey Burma, I truly appreciate the offer of help but I'm not ready to go down that path yet. I'm still trying to get used to the new machine and well, the old one with the potentially lost data ain't going anywhere anytime soon. I'll figure out what to do eventually...your offer of help is why I love this place, more times than not somebody is willing to help a fellow member out. Thanks again!  :-* :-*

"Anti dusting agent"?  Is that so when they leave it out for long periods of time, it won't get dusty?
