Dear Abby:
I come to OR from WI, and have all these fancy microbrews foisted upon me. I pick out one: Blue Moon (a belgian white wheat ale) that I like.

...and promptly get sick on it.

...afterward, I've come to really enjoy PBR (pabst) but all my fancy microbrew drinking oregonian friends mock me.
them: "What're you drinking?"
me: "PBR."
them: "Oh, a PppppbbBBrrrrrrrrrrRRGH (adlib vomit noises)"

What should I do?

Dear Recluse,

The next time your circle of friends decides to mock you, take a bottle of your PBR and a bottle of their microbrew and slam each bottle up side the mocker's head. Then ask them if they could tell the difference. This should discourage them from mocking you again.

Come on over to the Eastside where Pabst is a religion. Served at our finer establishments. Used at christenings, bar mitzvahs, and the occasional bachelor party. Every Wednesday night the First Unitarian church of Elvis holds their bingo and PBR social.

Now, that being said. Starting out with a Belgian wheat is a pretty big jump. Kinda like taking your driving test on the Indy 500. Try a Mirror Pond or a Fat Tire.
