Whoooooooweeeeee

Rockford to Shawnee is 492 miles and 7 hours 45 minutes... at speed limits.

I think I'll take a weeks vacation if I ever do decide to ride down.

You can't handle a little birdy?
Psshaw. You'd NEVER make it as an airline pilot.

What a buzzkill you are..

I don't wanna lay more fiberglass. I HATE it. It sticks to my gloves, and my brush, and my feet, and my needle nose pliers that I use to get it off my gloves, my brush and my feet. Then I get mad, and then I spend the next hour apologizing to my bike because it's not really her fault, and I'm not trying to push her away.
It's not you Elsa, it's me. You didn't do anything wrong, I'm just at a weird stage in my life right now. Then she weeps and I change my mind......again. *sigh*

What a vicious love...trian.....squa....uhhh. shape?

No overtime on my end. SALARY. booo.
I just had our lube monkey bring me a ticket and say, " I didn't rotate the tires because the fronts are chopped, but the service advisor says, to leave the rotate on the ticket and pay me for it anyway."
I spit my muffin out and laughed as I walked to my desk, "yea sure buddy, get, while you're at it, get me some chocolate strawberries, go ahead and don't give me the strawberries, but I'll pay for em anyway."
What a f@#ker. seriously. :D

So this dude wants the pan off my old seat and I'm working on glassing mine, well the temp dropped like 20 degrees overnight so i went out this morning and it feels like i just laid that #$%*. I got the foam off in one piece and I'm thinking about reusing the pad for my new seat but...... its already got a hump in it.
Thoughts?

Honestly, if I as a customer, had an idea that someone at a shop would pull that kind of stuff, I'd walk out and loudly let everyone of the other customers know what they just tried to pull on my way out the door. And then I'd tell everyone I know too. It's good you are there to keep them honest or you may not have a job to come back to soon. Especially in an economy like this, the worst thing you can do is rip people off. Just do it right and honestly and you will always have a business. News gets around fast, especially if it's bad news.

I'd go with new foam. Maybe memory foam if it would be comfy for longer rides. Since you're going to be sitting forward, I'd opt for the most comfy seat I could come up with. The #1 gripe about most bikes is the seat hurting your hindparts on long rides.

We are in Eugene, OR today. It's a very cool, very small city. Large hippy, pagan, organic (all kinds of herbs  ;)), vegan, pierced, tattooed contingency here. Not all of it is our cup of tea (at least not all at once and to the extreme you see it here) but overall some very cool cats to hang with. We will probably settle here someday, outside the city though. We are country kids, ya know. I'd like to commute on bike (bicycle), so if I'm within 10-15 miles (one way) of a job, I'll be okay. More than that can be a drag on a daily basis, especially if it rains. At least it's flatter here. Portland hills kinda suck when you gotta pedal them.  :-\

I have quit 2 jobs previously for deciet like that. and I for one do NOT tolerate it.
That's pretty much what I do, i sit in the shop and make sure the mechanics put what time they say into stuff and slap em silly when they try and pull one over on someone.

I've never been in oregon, but I went to Puyallup(visited mt rainier and the fish market where they throw fishes..) for like a week about 6 years ago. It was beautiful. Lots of hippy, tattooed, pierced, herbal crunchy granola eaters. ;)
I kid. hahaha
Anyway, I dunno if I could live there permanently, but I would definitely consider some roadtripping/camping there again.

I found a 72 cb350 on CL , it  says "good frame, rolling chassis, with motor, no title"
I should offer him a cool bill and see what he says.
