He he, I always laugh at Cafe guys who question the comfort levels of choppers, I can tell you first hand, that a chopper with a reasonably well padded seat like that one is still a helluva lot more comfy over long distances than a "Caferacer" with clip-ons or those half-assed "clubman" (Shudder) bars, footpegs in the OEM position, and a sheet of fibreglass (or wood, in some cases, urrggghhh) with a micro-thin layer of foam, for a seat.
The end result is that you're riding for hours (probably only once) with your arms stretched out to the max and almost parallel with your knees, with your head pulled up at an un-natural angle, and your arse sitting on a board with virtually no give.
The chopper rider, on the other hand, sits at a very natural angle, (unless he's using massive Ape-hangers, but that's not the case with this particular bike) the bike will track very well due to the long rake, and on smoother freeway surfaces, the ride will be very nice indeed.
No good on rough surfaces or in the "twisties" mind, but no chopper ever professed to be much at "Canyon Racing", so for a "day to day commuter" though, or even some touring, a chopper is a great device indeed. I'd have another one! Cheers, Terry.
