1972 CB 750 seat
« on: October 01, 2018, 09:45:30 AM »
Looking at the seat on my next project, a 1972 K2, I notice the seat at the front is narrower than the seat on my 1971 K1. I know the '71 seat to be original. I believe, but am not sure the '72 seat is original. Did Soichiro change seat dimensions before the big change in '77 and '78?

The part numbers do change between the models:
CB750 (K0): 77200-300-020A
K1:77200-300-030A
K2: 77200-341-000A
These numbers refer to the complete seat unit so it could be that the only change was to the pattern on the seat cover though.

Seats were different for:
CB750K0
CB750K1
CB750K2
CB750K3-K7
CB750K7-8

Look at the side piping and stiching for different models.

cheers
