Bypassing Clutch Lever Switch, 1978 CB550

Hey y'all

Trying to get my bike to the point where I can start it with the handlebar controls. The bike currently doesn't even have a clutch lever or cable on it, so I need to be able to bypass the clutch lever switch.

Whats the easiest way to do that?

I also think I am missing that diode that goes on the side panel by the voltage regulator.

To add some more details.

Fresh rebuild all the way around.

I have the motor, battery, and wire harness on the bike, but only have the basics plugged into the harness. Regulator/Rectifier, battery, fuses, starter, key ignition and right side handlebar controls mostly plugged in.

Is the solenoid wired in to the R control?

The solenoid should have a green/red wire connected to one of the bullets on its wires. The other one should be yellow/red I think, that's the power from the start button. So just ground the green/red wire to the frame or engine with a cliplead or anything: that bypasses the clutch switch safety and the neutral safety (which won't allow starting if the diode is missing). The start button should activate the starter no problem.
