Dual Disc Brake Bridge/Joint

My brake bridge/3-way joint is leaking.  I'm ordering new SS brake lines, and would like to know if I could eliminate the bridge altogether and run both lines directly to the MC.  Thanks all.

The '81 750 dohc had a double banjo at the MC and two lines going to the calipers.

I had a similar problem, I loosened and retightened the banjo, problem went away.
