Topic: float seat removal 360 t

How do you guys remove the float seat from the CV carbs?  I have one carb that continues to flood despite proper float height and a
decent needle, I suspect there is an o-ring in there that is toast and would like to check it out. the bike in question is a 76 360 t.

Its pressed in with a retainer. You should be able to pull it out after you remove the holding clip. 'O' ring doesn't usuall fail unless carbs have been dipped in carb clean ( good possibility on bike that old)

Yeah I dunked both carbs as a matter of course when i got the bike home. my rt side carb is fine, the left one has been a real pain in the nuts.

As I've been riding mine for 3 years I should now more on the carbs.   But cleaned then once and it starts 1or2 kicks and gets 50 mpg so dont want to mess with them.   Its still rich but oh well.

Got that SOB out of there, the seat was was gouged pretty bad and the o-ring was toast, replaced the ring and went at the inside of the seat with 1000 grit for a while and buffed
the needle body smooth put it all together and it works now. YAY!
These bikes pull pretty good, I was surprised.

I just noticed you have a CJ, I picked one up not too long ago myself , couldn`t pass it up.
 You don`t see many around anymore since they were only made for two years.

Been my experience when you say CJ 360 nobody has ever heard of them.    Was looking for a CJ tank to see if it would fit the CB.   Someone on the list used to have a nice CJ they where thinking about selling.

The CJ tank should fit, it overhangs the rear strap a bit, there is a beat up tank on ebay now and i think the bidding was up around $30.00.
