Thanks for making this article complete. I had the Cobra build since before but not from this magazine.

These articles are fun to read when there are fantastic commercials of other products from that era! The trike is one reminder of the 70's design and how people were dressed.
Time to download the old TV series like Kojak, Canon and McCloud just for the street shots. Time to watch them all again ;)

I have been collecting the vintage bike mags for a while now.  I have soooo many more articles.  I had to stop for now since Im burying all the active threads.

We could open up a whole new forum category for downloading vintage articles.

I could put up a thread strictly on 70s motorcycle related fashion photos that could entertain for hours.

Keep in mind that the “golden rod” in the pic in the article is not the golden rods we know.

For a short period before the billet gold anodized golden rods came out, RC was using and selling what appear to be forged aluminum rods.  Very different rods...

I have see  a version that was different, not sure if the relief was on the side.
It looked fully machined billet and had rounded corners outboard of the bolts.

If you look at the “Go fast To Order” article, same forged rods.

That article was from 1974.  I’m thinking the billet golden rods were coming about in 1975/1976.  But not 100% on that.

Don’t tempt me....I’m easily persuaded.  I’d have to keep it off the high performance section at least.

The Disco years were classic...😀

Similar, but not the same.
