1976 CB400 super sport - rear brake

Help please!
I'm putting my 1976 CB400 back together and really struggling to get the rear brake assembly feeling like it's working properly. Can anyone post some pictures of how the large brake pedal spring sits between the shaft and frame? I've seen some but not from the angles I need most.
If anyone has any hints on how to make this work better using OEM or alternate parts please let me know
thanks for your help!
