Can one take all the internals from a CB750 diecast motor lower end and transplant them into Sandcast cases? Obviously the clutch cover will need to be a 9 hole. Cylinders and head should also be early style. Will diecast oil pan fit on sandcast? Any other issues for swap? Is there a better year diecast motor to use for the donor parts? Thanks for info.

Oilpan  may be different.
Shifter mechanism had a change on early diecast, if you use all of it, it should work..

The oil pan is for sure different, the clutch pack may protrude further depending on what year it is. A 10 hole cover will bolt on. I've made a 9 hole cover from a 10 and plan to make a couple more soon. And what Frank said about the shifter.

The oil pan is nearly square requires a different gasket. I made my own.

I always considered diecast to be the K0's made after Sandcast. Neither is a totally correct term, they say sandcast is really gravity cast but there wasn't a K0 until after there was a K1, they were just K.
I also agree that's just be my opinion which may or may not agree with anyone else's.
