The wheels on my '73 CB500 are functionally fine - they're true, not damaged etc. But, they'll never be nice again - the hubs are yellowing and chalky, the spokes shine like an old chainlink fence and the rims are nicked, scratched and faded.
Building a set around the hubs (after media blasting and powder coating) with new spokes and rims is an option. But, I'm wondering if there's a simpler, quicker option... just ordering a set of wheels. I realize this isn't a 2016 Mustang with 1,000 aftermarket companies spraying parts all over the internet. So, if buying a pre-built set of moderately priced wheels isn't an option, I'll start planning out a rebuild.
Does said option exist? I mean, short of putting $1,500 wheels on a $1,500 motorcycle ;-)
