Topic: A fe basic questions for a newbie to restoration

Hey All, just joined the forum to try and learn a bit from some seasoned pro's!
My father has just handed me down a whole heap of 750four sohc parts and pieces (4 frames, 3 complete engines, and just about everything else to build at least 2.5 complete bikes) and i am stoked!
Now i want to do one as a cafe racer, one as a full original masterpiece and one as a slightly custom but mainly original "bratstyle"
The questions i have for the slightly modified version are:

1. Forks - Ideally i want to put thicker forks on the front, what headstems could i use from different bikes that would fit straight in? or can i modify the yoke/triple grips to house thicker forks? what would be the best way to do this?

2. rims/tyres - What size rim would house the thickest rear tyre that would fit into the swingarm? also i have 5 rear swing arms, a mixture between drum and disc (bracket positioning) and one of them is about 25mm wider at the rear? it looks in every way the same as the other but it just spreads quicker the whole way along. Any ideas on what model this is off?

3. General parts - what is the best website to source general parts (oil tank covers, seat mount brackets, bits and bobs) ?

 Forks, Goldwing the first 2 years or so are bigger and the stem will fit, might need a spacer but pretty much bolts on. Forks are a bit longer. Easier to fit good brakes. You can use your early hub.
Almost everything else , you have to make a steering stem, or adapt yours.

Just be sure to use cb750 bearings with gl1000. The gl1100 have even larger 39mm tubes and wider trees than the gl1000.

The 1000 cc. GL forks  with 6 bolt hub is 37 mm.... that is the easy one to use.

awesome, that sounds good. i presume you are talking about the honda goldwing? gl1000/1100? Sorry for the extra questions but do you know what year is most compatible? or all the same?
