I'm not an expert in Ham radio, but from what I know that "1973 De la2vpa" seems to be his "signature" on the Ham radio environment.
My building administrator once told me something about ham radio. Somebody living in an appartment building asked for permission to install an antenna in the roof and lay the cable through the wall up to his appartment. He was granted to do it, but a few years ago the neighbours changed their mind and asked him to uninstall the antenna. The radio operator took the neighbours to court, and the judge granted him the right to keep the antenna based in the fact that Ham radio are considered a public service, invaluable in cases where other means of communication are down such in floods, hurricanes etc.
Good to see you are alive and well, our resident fireman!
