Has anyone changed main jets without removing carburetor? -CB650

Has anyone changed main jets without removing carburetor? I am not sure if I need to go up a size yet as I'm still doing some other checks, tuning etc; but if I do I am wondering if it's possible. It is really a wrestling match getting the carbs on with the airbox and getting everything leak free. My bike is a 1981 CB650 with CV carbs.

Many times, some are easier than others.

If you take the bowls off, replace the screws with Allen head bolts. Much easier to work with if you have to go back in.

That’s possibly great news. I actually already changed all the bolts with stainless Allen heads when I did the rebuild.

Has anyone specifically done this on a 650 with CV carbs?
