found a CL90
« on: February 02, 2007, 02:34:34 PM »
I have just got back from the US, my daughter has just moved up to New Jersey. While there she had to visit the local Honda car dealer and there in a corner of the showroom was a very nice CL90. Not seen one before, In the UK we only had the S90 and the CA200 I think it was called.

I take that you bought it? and that is the gift wrap for her home warming gift? if so , sweet!!!
can I inquire as to how much you got that sweet little machine for?
as for the bicycle handle bars, the cross member is for strength, you will see it on pretty much every CL andXL, probably SL models as well.
That is awicked little machine! I want one :'(
BTW It looks in great shape!
go here for a little serial number info, just scroll down:

         Jugghead,

You're absolutely right about those handlebars. They came on the CLs and the SLs. I've put them on street bikes in the past, for strength.

sadly I didn't buy it, but if anyone knows of anything similar sat at the back of a barn I would be interested. Also in the showroom was an N600 car from the 60's anybody remember those? along with the N360.

Do you know the name of the Town and the dealer that has this bike, then?  if it is for sale i just might have to snatch it up!
Looks like it would be about a thousand US or so?  Dunno. ???
Well, hope your daughter fares well and that you had a nice trip to the land of the...... :-X (this space left blank for political reasons)

It was at Sussex Honda in Newton. Didn't ask if it was for sale, my guess is not but then everything has a price.
Yes I enjoy my trips to the US, she was in Florida before. I will be back again in April to see the arrival of another US citizen, my 2nd grandson.

ok, she lives just off Highway 23 near Sussex. That looks a great area where you live, hoping to do a bit of sightseeing but probably not on my next visit as baby will just be born.

Did you manage to get to Sussex Honda yet to view the CL90?

Yep, the SL100 I had in high school had those same bars. They look cute but they weren't strong. The third or fourth time I dropped the bike riding in the dirt, the bars snapped. I ended up buying wide black competition bars at the local dealer.

Maybe so Greg, but I'll wager that if you compared them to the bars w/o the crossbar, those bars (w/the crossbar) would be stronger. And of course the competition bars would be stronger. That goes without saying.
