My bike didn't come with a center stand when I bought it. I suspect that a previous owner could not get it to work with the 4-2s he had. The pipes were pretty trashed and I wanted a 4 into 1 that would take a center stand. Found a center stand on ebay that was straight but rusted. Put it on the bike and realized the foot piece stuck way out so I shortened it.. I'm thinking that a CB750F center stand might have been a better choice since there isn't any exhaust pipe on the left side.
