Cb750F '76 - hardbags and rear chrome fender
« on: October 28, 2019, 07:17:59 AM »
I have a 76 CB 750F which I rebuild over the last few years (@ 7) - limited spare time with wife, kids, jobs...  Now it is a 836 and runs great. Cosmetically it's a "driver" and a Frankenstein - parts from K and F models.  For example, early K indicator display, late K hand controls, early K key, black cylinder jugs (like my norton commando)...  I like the look of 75 400 Super Sport and have modeled my cosmetics accordingly.

First question - can I fit a late K rear fender and seat on my F frame? I believe early K's have a different (shorter) frame. I'm not a fan of the plastic supersport rear end.  reminds me of the Norton Dunstall - maybe with a front cafe fairing it works?  Not my cup of tea.

Second question - as I've started putting miles on it, are there any hardbags that look good? I have Cortech and they are fine.  I am spoiled by my Triumph Sprint GT's integrated bags.  Waterproof...never slide around...

Thanks for the help!

A similar year fender and grab bar will fit. I'm not as sure about the seat, I put a76F seat and tail on a 77k frame and had to weld seat tabs. So I suspect no.
