1977 cb550k3 exhaust four into four non-oem replacements
« on: October 31, 2019, 07:58:10 AM »
Hi everyone, long time guest in the forum and now new member (tried introducing myself but had problems with the new member link, probably me (I'm an old timer, riding Honda's since 1968) or my firewall.

I am in the process of restoring a 1977 CB550k3 and want to keep it looking stock.
Found 3 Non-Oem 4 into 4 replacements on eBay.

CMS has the lowest price and apparently are made in the Netherlands, the other 2 seem to be Japanese.

They all claim to have the same back pressure as the OEM's, but since the pipes are very expensive and can't be returned once installed, would greatly appreciate any feedback.
Thanks, William

Welcome from NE MN,

One thing to watch on replacement headers is the space around the oil filter housing.  Might not be an issue with 4 into 4.  My '75 CB550F has a 4 into 1 and the MAC header has to be spread to get the filter housing off.
