73 Husky WR250?
« on: June 09, 2005, 05:38:54 am »
Hello all.

Just wondering what the pro's and con's are to this old 73 Husqvarna WR250 I am concidering are?  I'll be looking at it/compression testing it on Sat.  From the photos it looks like I'll have to find some new fenders and an air cleaner set up.  Apparently the WR version is the slow one.  The CR would be the high performance bike.  I have looked at a website that says a good bit of the parts are interchangeable.  I might be abble to just throw a CR top end on + get more displacement out of it as well?

Any knowlede of these things would be helpful.  Thanks, Chris.

Well I went and looked at it.  Apparently words like "motor" and "stuck" aren't part of this guys vocabulary.  Even when I told him I would be trying to kick it to compression test it he never said well thier is a problem along those lines.

I'd give him $50.00 for it just to have something else to torture myself with.  Perhaps when the highest bidder comes to pick it up and the deal falls through he'll concider it.

Uh, Chris?

Question two - Does the Engine turn over? No.

Oh.   silly me.  I thoght he never tried to start it due to the carb being off.
I had no idea not turning over is the same as being stuck.  NOT!
