Topic: Will a Honda CB550 fit in a Dodge/Chrysler minivan ?

Hi there, just wanted to know if anyone has transported  CB550 in the back of a Dodge or Chrysler minivan  ?

 I've put a 750 roller without the engine in one as well as a Suzuki t500. One thing you need to do is remove the fuel tank and side covers so that they don't get damaged and fold down the handlebars.  Think member Johnie hauled a 750 once in one once also. Mine was a 2001 Town & Country.

Yes, I hauled a few CB750's in my Dodge mini van. I would load through the side door with a ramp. Then I would have a piece of strong cardboard under the tire so I could slide it in place. The rear seat anchors were perfect to strap the bike down.

I want everyone to know I sincerely appreciate their time and input. Johnie what was the advantage of loading through a side door ? I honestly dont want to have to deal with the expensive of a trailer.V

I loaded through the side door as the clearance was greater and the side door is closer to the ground. I would load it rear tire first as it was better for steering on the way out. Plus, I would put the ramp on the lower edge of the door frame which would help the bars clear the top of the frame.

Was gonna say, "yes, but the 550 wouldn't have the same weight to horsepower ratio"

     I pulled the front fender, wheel & fork leg/tube assy's and put a CB550K in my 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan. I hauled quite a   
     lot in that one, over time. Finally got a trailer hitch, put that on & came across a Jetski trailer, pretty cheap & made some   
     changes, so I could haul a motorcycle on it.
