First dragstrip pass. CB750F dragbike
« on: December 28, 2019, 09:07:37 pm »
Below is a link to the 1st shake down pass on the new build. This was only a soft pass to be certain the bike would make a full "A to B" pass down the track. Had a few shifting issues but it still ran a 6.86@100mph. I need to increase the kill time between shifts and fix an air leak along with softening up the rear sock  before i go out again. Keep in mind, this was NOT a full throttle pass. There is a lot more in this bike.

Try googling: Honda CB750 F1 dragbike test pass. South Carolina Motorplex, or go to Loney Motorsports on you tube for my videos.

Thanks. It was just an easy pass to sort the bike out. I've got a few things to tweak on the bike based on this test pass. Next time I'll feel more confident  in turning it up more off the line and then take the shift points up a lot more.  If you watched any of the videos of my other bike, you can hear the difference in the way i leave the line- its like night and day. Lol. This new bike only gets babied once - its on from this point forward.

OK, that explain some. I talked to a guy that used RC327 in his 970cc street bike many years ago. I was sure that idle should be much worse.

Frank, I nominated this bike for bike of the month.  Somebody needs to go second the nomination.

Thanks seanbarney. I accepted your nomination on the BOM thread per the rules.  I'm uncertain about what I'm supposed to do to continue the process.

When the mod (sohc4 caferacerfan) puts up a voting thread, then he will want you to post some info on your bike and pictures, video, timeslips, etc.  Whatever you think makes your bike vote worthy.  I think there are several nominations right now, so yours may not be up for voting for a month or 2.

Well, we just moved into another new year and I know you fellas are probably out partying like its 1999. I just here in the shop trying to figure out what's causing my air shifter leak.  After putting on a few used electric over air solenoids,  I finally found one that holds pressure.  I'll leave this one on until I can order a new one Thursday.  There's a track about an hour and a half away from me that's open tomorrow.  I'm going to do my best to make it up there to get a few test passes in. My next task for tonight is to remove the mono shock and loosen up the spring a little.  I'm turning this baby loose when it hits the track next time.
