Cracked oil pressure sensor port
« on: January 30, 2020, 09:34:08 am »
I cracked the port for my oil pressure sensor by overtightening, any ideas on how best to repair would be appreciated. Ideally, I'd like to repair without yanking the motor.

I’m no cb650 expert, but that port looks to be on the external oil pump. Unscrew it and get another one? You could plug that hole with a wad of JB Weld, after getting it really clean, but no more sending unit........

I did this on a cb750 years ago. Tried having it welded, failed. Tried JB, failed. Had to replace the bottom end. But this looks like it’s a bolt on bit, which would be really nice. If you can just swap out that piece I’d not bother attempting to repair
