1984 Low rider
« on: February 05, 2020, 12:21:13 AM »
A few weeks ago out on a ride I let the missus ride my 84 wideglide, while I rode her 1200cc Triumph bobber.
She enjoyed it so much, she's gone and bought an 84 Lowrider, 85% finished project bike. Does not look much like an 84 lowrider now.
We know the guy who owned it, the guy before him and the guy before him. Don't know the people before that.
It has a freshly built S&S crank and pistons by a well known builder with no miles on it. New clutch, heavy duty starter motor, freshly powder coated frame, new 2 pack paint on the tins and so on and so on.
Just needs finishing off.

Never had an evo Bill. My other HD is a twin cam with what they call the stage 4 kit. It has lots of get up and go.
Regardless I still find that most older bikes seem to ooze a particular charm when ridden, especially on a quiet country road.

Last of the shovels. Looks like a nice start. I sold an 84 FLHS last year and I am regretting the decision to let it go!
