CB750 gauge maintenance

My tach was bouncing intermittently and some condensation was appearing inside the gauges. I have started taking apart my gauges, I have some oil for the damper pot and new seals. Is there anything else I should clean or take care of while the gauges are open? The speedometer and tripmeter seemed to work fine, but I probably will not want to have to open these up again any time soon.

New face plates? Be a shame to get this far and not refresh the faces!  8)

I wasn't planning on it, it's more of a patina bike, than a restoration. But if I decide to restore it, then I'll definitely replace the faces.

Clean the spinning magnet and aluminum cup, the magnet attracts dirt which causes cup to jump.

Wipe clean, or with some kind of chemical cleaning product?
