Delkevic Exhaust?
« on: February 12, 2020, 06:49:07 PM »
My 1975 cb750F has a lovely stainless exhaust system. Today I removed it (using it on the Rickman) and realized it’s 4-2-1. It’s a great design, keeps it tight up under the motor. I always assumes it was a Delkevic, but all their systems I see now are 4-1, with a single collector. Also, the spigots are light weight stainless too, but bolt in the same way as stock ones (on studs). The headers slip on and are located with springs. Did Delkevic make other styles in the past? The tail pipe and muffler are by Hindle, so maybe the entire system is one of theirs?

My K6 has same Hindle 4-2-1 except the other muffler variant.
Super light.  Wonderful deep tone, not that loud until using the throttle!!   Ordered from Ripplerockracers in Canada.

Ordered the short muffler too just for sure for eventual future use letting all hidden dB out!

https://www.ripplerockracers.com/product/cb750-hindle-vintage-racing-exhaust-system-fits-1969-78/

One pipe became a little bit bluish due to jetting.

Polished with used 800 grit paper, look as the others after som use getting the golden tone again.

I wrote down the weight of it when I had it off, but forgot the numbers. Maybe 4kg something.  Muffler is the heaviest part, all other pipes are soo light. Why bother with titanium?
The fit is perfect.

The bike got it to unleash all hp it has hidden inside ;)

It's definitely a Ripple Rock Racers exhaust. I think I've even talked to Kemp at RRR about it. RRR has that distinctive colour headers, plus Kemp is one of the only guys who sells exhaust systems for these bikes in the GTA.

Here's a good write up on your bike from an interview Nick gave.

When removing the exhaust you need the hook for the springs that is included in the package.

Disassemble in reverse order.
Baffle, pipe, y-connoction... the pipes are angled so you cant take them all off at once as you will notice. Be gentle since the pipes are very thin.
Kemp at Ripple rock racers is a very nice guy and very helpful.
You might live not that far away.
