Which One Would YOU Pick?
« on: February 07, 2007, 04:38:56 PM »
If you could have a Vintage Motorcycle (in new condition), could you pick one, and if so, which one would you pick?

I'm even gonna have to think about that one. I can think of several but, I don't know if I can narrow it down to one. What do you all think? Can you do it? I'll get back to you soon, on mine.

                                               Later on, Bill :) ;)

I had a '64 Duo-Glide when I was 18.  Wouldn't mind having it back.

probably a kenny roberts rz350

then i'd give it to dad.  he's always wanted one and he hand built a similar model of his own when i was still in the single digits.  it would be the least that i could do to pay him back for this hobby that he's given to me.

Many's the time I've wished for a motorcycle library where i could go and check a bike out for a week.
I'd like to get my R67/2 back.  I've always wanted to take a Velocette around a track.  Or through the mountains.
Panther slper is one of the prettiest engines... A Crocker would be fun to get rorty on.
Have to say, though- I have some of the best, most fun bikes there are.  I'm pretty happy right now.
(OK- and another R69S and I'll sit down)
Dude- your 8 layers are showing!

I guess I would go after an old Indian. Something the wife would like to have. After all I would give it to her.

I guess I am a sicko, I am riding my dream bike.  ::) The SOHC Honda

My neighbor has a velocette and must say its a pretty cool bike to look at and sit on. I dont think he will like take it for a spin and to be honest I probably wouldnt either. That 750SS duck is pretty hot as well..

Getting it down to one is a big ask.
Part of my wish list
An original red and white 50cc stepthrough (C100 / Cub?) because they were iconic of the late 60's.
A Kawasaki (sacrilege I know) - I haven't worked out which model yet (one I can paint in its original purple - its a girl thing  :))
My 350F fully restored with original 4-4s
1983 Shadow VT500C
Another CX500 Custom (a red and purple one)
A CBX for my partner
1972 CB350 Four
1977 CB750 K7
1979 Suzuki GT250 X7
1980 CX500 Custom
1980 CX500 Shadow

With this one, you could cur the number down to 2. Check out this one that some would call the "Vindian" Sometimes referred to as the Indian that they should have built.
