I been using my hand the past couple days.

How about washcloths and soap and water?

Just in case you didn't think of it.  You are not alone in that, it seems.  You're welcome. ;)

So how is everyone else in other countries acting?I'm curious to know if other countries have a bunch of idiots too.

Sent from my LM-X420 using Tapatalk

Here in Mexico City things are pretty calm so far. There are rumors that the gov't will instigate a quarantine on Tuesday, and the number of identified cases shot up to 46 from about 10 over the weekend. There are likely many more. Mexico is considering closing the border with the US.

I went to my regular Saturday market to buy fish and vegetables and everything was normal. I went to Costco, however, and althoughI don't think it was as bad as the US there were many more people than normal and there was definitely a run on TP. I went to my neighborhood grocery store after that and everything was calm and the shelves were full of TP and everything else. It seems like people panicked a little at Costco because people have panicked at Costco in the US, but regular stores are business as usual.

Regarding the hoarding of TP, I read an article that suggested this was psychological. People buy things in big packages because it makes them feel more in control in a situation where other elements are out of their control, as in a pandemic. The fact that it's non-perishable and that you'll use it sooner or later probaby helps too.

My wife and I both start working from home on Tuesday -- Monday is a holiday here. Things are progressing rapidly so we will see what comes. I'm going for a ride on my 350F today, that's about all I care about right now.

I been using my hand the past couple days. Wal-Mart was still out yesterday; checked absorbing acid; all gone; checked vitamin c; all fawk’n gone! Wal-Mart and Kroger can’t keep enough on their shelves!

I’m guessing a roll of toilet paper is going to bring good money on eBay!

Regarding the hoarding of supplies, see the above.

People will have various reactions. Mine is along the lines of how dare this guy hoard something like that in an emergency, denying other people the ability to purchase it, and then whine as though he is a victim. He states that it cost him money to go around and hoard all this stuff so he is entitled to mark it up, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he is preventing some of these same people from buying it at a normal price throught the normal channels. The hubris is remarkable. And then to agree to have his name and photo printed in the paper to elicit sympthy. Unbelievable.

I work in Southeast Asia. It's the reason for the left hand taboo, and I've had to go native more than once.

I went to Wally world again this afternoon. On the way, I noticed one of their semis ahead of me, evidently with a load of toilet paper, as by the time I had worked my way to the paper products aisle a long line had formed. They were rationing it...
Last time I was there, they were only out of TP and hand sanitizer, but this time lots of food shelves were empty: no eggs, no fresh or frozen potatoes, no canned tuna, beans, etc. I can understand people stocking up to limit their exposure, but I still can't fathom the run on toilet paper???
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Pretty much the same here in NE Indiana. I shop on Sunday mornings at 7:00 AM, normally, to avoid the crazies... but yesterday, the same empty shelves awaited me. The one food item that was gone puzzled me, bacon. I didn't realize bacon was a "staple". Oh well, life goes on.

You do not want to flush paper towels or any other paper down the toilet if you are on a septic system.  It won’t disintegrate like toilet paper does and will cause expensive problems for the tank and drain field.

Canada is the same. We have a local Farmer’s market and they were sold out by noon..... Fortunately my wife (Polish decent) is always prepared. I’m convinced if I lock the farm gate we could survive for 3 months without going hungry, I picked up two large tanks of super unleaded yesterday (gas is the cheapest we’ve seen in 5 years), and my last order from Vintagecb750.com arrived today. I’ll be in the shop when the world ends...... all I needed is an excuse to lock myself in!
