It is true what PeWe mentioned about MC's hardweld cams. Always best to pair with hardwelded rockers which costs a bit more, but never need to worry about the combination again.
That's gospel. Andrew's hasn't made a cam for the 750 in over 40 years. And at that cheap, old iron billets.

I had an Andrews cam A grind, new in box., put it in in Sept one year.. at first I thought it was a dog , nothing under 3 K on a stock motor, worse than stock. Because I am suffering from getting old, I was shifting around 5,500 -6, 000 rpm.. and it did not feel like cam did much. So one day I thought let's take it to 8,000.. man did it come alive after 5.5 to 6 K.. felt real good

Then I wasn't riding much, so ring came and I was having peacock trouble again.. plus I was chewing though a few can rocker sets burnt one up., anyway  come around June top end was real rattle and getting loud while hot. Was going to go to the reunion is Colorado, so I pulled top end and checked, and I had taken oug a few cam lobes and rockers  probably from gas in the oil.. I was very disappointed. . Put another motor in after that.l

Although it was a mild cam it was still revvy, I found my hotter cam in 836 maybe had better low end power and strong through  middle and top end, I could rev much higher.

So try it , not every mild  cam is right for every rider..

An efficient cylinder head doesn't need as much duration or lift as a poor flowing head.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

That’s fair. I’m better off looking for fantastic flow numbers under 400 thou than over it since I won’t have a cam with any higher lift. Plus it takes energy to compress the springs more and more, so... something something efficiency.
