79 cb750 dohc spoke conversion..possible?
« on: February 08, 2007, 08:44:03 PM »
I've read many threads on the conversion for my sohc and it will come with time....BUT right now I'm bringing to life a 79 cb750f dohc and the rear wheel is shot. I figure since I really dislike the comstars why go out of my way to buy more? Has anyone heard of converting the dohc into a spoked wheel? Are the same options availble and possible from the sohc? I've researched a little on cb1100f.net but found nothing. Any input?

thanks

Whatever you need to do to fit comstars o SOHC reverse for fitting to DOHC. I think its pretty easy, maybe spacers as axle sizes are mostly the same.
( I think Comstars suck as well)

I'm pretty sure that I worked on a 79-82 CB750K with stock spoked wheels ??? Although it was several years ago, I don't think it was the only one that I've seen.

thanks guys, I was hoping to hear that. I will go ahead with the SOHC info I've gathered and assume its the same scenario on the DOHC.
