Field coil screws— how does it seal?

Hi all,
1975 CB750K.
I am rebuilding my stator cover and have removed the field coil from the center. When reinstalling, all I have it the three screws that mount from the outside, and three washers for said screws. Do I just butt the parts together and screw it down? No sealant?

Also, the kit I got with Allen bolts has the wrong size washers. Go figure. Can I reuse the old ones? It looks like two screws had two thin copper washers, and the third screw had just one washer.

Look on a parts list for what the washers should be and i never used sealant
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

I thought these should be of a softer material to seal, but look like a std washer. Item 14

I think I used std washer for M6 together with std M6 allen heads.

Honda used annealed (soft) copper washers in those holes until the K3. After that they became soft aluminum washers. Once removed, they are hard to completely seal again, so put some sealant behind them. Do NOT use RTV: use something non-hardening like Permatex#2 or Hondabond, although you will need to apply at least 2 layers of the thin Hondabond, letting the first one dry out a little and then applying the second go-round wet.
