Topic: Drive sprocket Oiler torque

Cb750k5, what’s the torque for that 19mm bolt Oiler on the 18T drive sprocket (not the screw in the center).

Hackaweek tightened to 15 ft lbs.

Manual says the Drive Sprocket is 5.1-10.8 ft lbs. Doesn’t seem like much for the size of the Oiler, but then again there is a lock washer. Wanting to confirm that the torque is for the Oiler nut and not the 6mm bolts on each side.

The 6mm bolts are 90 in-lbs (that's about 8 ft-lbs.). The 18mm nut is just tightened enough, like 8 ft-lbs, to allow the locktab to get a lip over one of its flat sides to hold it still. In operation it only holds the oiler adjuster screw in one place. If you try to tighten this skinny 19mm nut very much, it will round off and leave you in a world of hurt for trying to get it off again later.
